More About Me

Sue's Story

My husband and I moved to Crystal River Florida in 1990 from Newfoundland, New Jersey.  We had our two sons in Florida in 1992 and 1995.

We have resided on both coasts of Florida.  Bought, sold and built a home or two along the way.  Moved to Key Largo Florida in 1999.  The school system for the boys was top notch.  Both of our sons left for college around 2011 and 2013.  They both attended Full Sail University in Central Florida.  Our oldest still resides in Florida, while our youngest is now living close in Ellsworth Maine.

About me:  When our sons began those elementary years of school, myself, my husband along with our sons Taekwondo instructor built the Florida Keys Taekwondo, Inc. school in Key Largo Florida as an extra curricular activity for the community.  I was the owner, a teacher, an administrator and student of the company and enjoyed very much being part of our small town.  Myself and our two sons became 1st degree blackbelts together.  At one time the school had 150 students ranging from ages 3 to 70 years of age.  The school was very successful for 8 years.  The company closed its doors in 2007 due to the crash of the market.

I continued onto retails sales as the Assistant Storage Manager of Pier 1 Imports of the Florida Keys.  Then was promoted to Store Manager.  I spent approximately 5 years with the company.

Wanting to have more control over my career I decided to take a chance with real estate sales.  Passed the real estate exam in November 2009.  Began home match making in the worst real estate market of the decade.  It was a time of learning, but made quite a few sales in my first year.

Came to visit the Bar Harbor area for several years around my birthday.  Took in the sights, visited the area, gorged on lobster and just fell in love with the Schoodic Peninsula.  A few years later, we decided to purchase a small camp in Gouldsboro Maine.  Rebuilt a beautiful new home on the property in 2017 that looks onto Acadia National Park.  We now live in Gouldsboro Maine full time.

Real estate is my passion.  I am licensed in two states, Maine & Florida.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you in selling or purchasing your home in Maine.
